The #UrbanTreeFestival starts next weekend and we're hosting an online event:

Mon 17 May @ 6pm "Giving London's fallen trees a second Life."

Over 5,000 trees are felled in London every year - and most end their lives as firewood. Our business takes these unwanted trees and mills them into quality timber for the city's furniture makers and designers.

Our goal is to give more fallen trees a second life, helping to combat climate change and stimulate a vibrant circular economy which invests back into London's urban forest.

Some beautiful bookmatched flamed Beech boards from North London- perfect table size at 1700x800.. won't be seasoned until early next year though..
Next pic shows that we do mill everything, however small. We've recently cleared our yard of all old log stock and nothing goes to waste..
And a few shots of extracting that Beech. Now that's what I call the long arm of the law.. or the reach for the Beech. Big thanks to my man Matt from G-force

Probably not that interesting to most, but for us it's a pretty big game changer. We've just taken delivery of our new 27ft timber kiln (in fact it's a re-purposed freezer truck body), which we'll be converting & fitting out next week and commissioning it mid March. Together with our existing kiln, we should be able to produce around 10m/3 per month. Then we just need to find somewhere to put it all..🤪

The absolute delights of London Plane. We used some nondescript scraggy offcuts to machine up a bunch of 30x30 battens for a customer to use a table top edging.. these old trees have so much colour and character, and these ones in particular from the late 18th century, that grew in one of londons biggest former graveyards in Euston, are just to die for! Terrible pun but sensational timber 😃 Enjoy ..
